A year of firsts, thanks, and glimmer moments
Another year down.
Well, folks, we made it. Another year down, and somehow, this newsletter is still here! When I started this in May, I didn’t expect it to turn into such an awesome journey. But here we are, and I'm proud of myself for showing up and actually doing the thing.
Now, I’m going to make this sound like an Emmy speech, because why not? Huge thanks to my subscribers—yes, you—for being here and proving that I’m not just talking to myself. You’re the real MVPs. And to my friends and family, who have patiently listened to me explain what Substack is and how “this could really take off,” you deserve a medal. (Or at least a nice dinner.)
I’m writing this before everyone shuts down their email for the year, so let me say this: Looking ahead, I’m excited to be bolder in 2025—less overthinking, more doing. It’s time to stop second-guessing myself and start sharing exactly what’s on my mind. But I’d also love to hear from you: what posts or topics did you enjoy the most this year? Drop me a line in the comments, and let’s chat!
Until then, who doesn’t love a good recap? To view and read all the posts I’ve written this year, click on the button below:
And since we’re all probably about to kick off some holiday travel, here’s a little bonus content for you. It’s my go-to for when I need a mental escape or a good laugh while on the road.
Thanks again for being a part of this. I’ll catch you in the new year with more musings, recommendations, and no shortage of opinions.
Listen to: “Levitating” by Dua Lipa – A fun, upbeat song to get you in the mood for adventure. Perfect for when you're heading out and want a little energy boost.
Hit the play button on the “Call Me Candid” podcast – A light, funny, and relatable podcast about life, love, and everything in between. Perfect for when you want something easy-going and uplifting on a long trip.
For a light read, I recommend "The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion – A quirky, humorous, and charming love story about a socially awkward genetics professor on a quest to find the perfect partner. It's easy to get lost in, making it a perfect travel read.
Lastly, this made me laugh:
Happy Holidays to all!
